Jampa Lhakhang (also known as Jambay Lhakhang) is one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist temples in Bhutan. It is located in Chhoekhor Gewog, Bumthang District, approximately 4 km from Jakar town. According to Bhutanese tradition, the temple was founded in 659 CE by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo, making it one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Bhutan
